I used to share a picket fence with my beloved neighbours and as pickets needed replacing I took the old and painted on them, I LOVE painting on recycled surfaces so much and I love the fact that this wood has had time in our garden, on the edge, the periphery, a magik space.
I love that it was a tree, it was a fence, it's now a painting.

The imagery of the Dandelion is inspired by the magikal and medicinal herb Dandelion. A few years ago during a herbalism course i bonded very deeply with Dandelion, she became a plant ally. I grew her in my garden and spent a year visiting her every day, eating her leaves, drinking her roots as a tea and dreaming about her. There is so much to celebrate about this humble garden herb and she often finds her way into my artwork.

This beautiful original acrylic painting on a recycled picket measures
30cm x 7.5cm x 2cm or
12inch x 3inch x 3/4inch
The painting has been sealed with a satin varnish

I sign each of my artworks - Faerie – the magik name I called myself as a kid that I signed my young art with and it has stuck!
